Glen Rock Dog Park (GRNJDP) Scholarhship

GRNJDP Premise: Recognition of the courageous dogs that assisted and saved lives on 9/11/2001. Promote a spirit of volunteerism that helps to provide comfort and well-being for members of the community.

Amount of Scholarship: $500 

Requirements: Must be a High School Senior planning to attend an accredited college or university. Must be a Glen Rock resident.

Criteria:

• Demonstrated activity for the benefit of animals, e.g. volunteer at an animal shelter, member of an animal rescue group that places displaced animals, volunteering at the Dog Park, etc.
• Or
• Any volunteer activity that benefits/promotes assistance to members of a community that are in need, e.g. volunteer for the ambulance corps, deliver meals to seniors, etc.

Format: Written essay highlighting the applicant’s activity, including the reason for his/her participation

Judges: GRNJ Dog Park Board of Directors.

Winner Announcement: If the winner is a GRHS Senior, the announcement will be made at the GRHS Senior Awards & Scholarship Assembly on:   Wednesday, June 7th
If the winner attends another High School the announcement will be at that school’s Senior Assembly date.
