Glen Rock Police Department Active Shooter Training

The Glen Rock Police Department will conduct active shooter training on the following dates at the following locations:

• Tuesday November 7th, 2023 (Election Day) – Byrd School
• Sunday December 3rd, 2023 – Glen Rock High School

This training is part of an ongoing preparedness effort, conducted annually at various venues such as schools, public buildings, and on trains. Officers will only utilize sim-munitions, there will be no live fire nor will loaded weapons be permitted on the training site. The training will involve only police personnel. School will not be in session during these training exercises. Officers, police vehicles, and other emergency response equipment will be present at the training locations beginning at 8:00 AM and continue through most of the day. “Police Training in Progress” message boards will be posted and active while the training is in progress.
