Ahead of the November general elections, the League of Women Voters of Glen Rock (LWVGR) has announced two dates for this year’s Candidates’ Nights, an evening to hear candidates’ positions on issues of importance to the town.

The first forum will be held for Borough Council candidates on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 7pm at Glen Rock Borough Hall. The following four council candidates are running for two open three-year council positions:

  • Anne Marie Leonard (R)
  • William Leonard, Sr. (R)
  • Jill Orlich (D, Incumbent)
  • Maureen Rozanski (D)

The second forum for Board of Education candidates will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 7pm at Glen Rock Borough Hall. The six candidates are running for the three open Board of Education seats, a three-year term.

  • Boaz Cohen
  • Daniel Corey (Incumbent)
  • Greogry S. Fuller
  • Karyn Stephenson (Incumbent)
  • Sivan Romascanu
  • Allan Storinge, Jr

The forums are open to the public and will be held in-person. Only residents attending can submit questions that evening. Questions should be formatted to facilitate detailed responses among candidates on Glen Rock issues verses questions that require one-word answers.

In addition to the in-person event, Candidates’ Nights will be live streamed on GRTV Channel 77 (Cablevision), Channel 32 (FIOS), League of Women Voters of Glen Rock Facebook page and the League’s YouTube channel. The taped broadcast of Candidates Nights will be available the following day on Glen Rock TV’s Vimeo Channel and the League’s YouTube channel.
