Friends Of Glen Rock Arboretum (AKA: The Thielke Arboretum)

The Friends of Glen Rock Arboretum( FOGRA) is a 501c3 non-profit organization run by Volunteers who rely largely on donations, membership dues, programming fees, and Volunteers for the maintenance and upkeep of the borough owned 16 acre park known as the Thielke Arboretum.

 

The Arboretum, located adjacent to the sports fields and playground at 460 Doremus Ave, represents a jewel of open space within our community.

Our Mission is simple:

Protect and Restore the Land

Inspire Learning

Renew the Spirit

For the entire Community!

 

Throughout the year we offer a variety of programs open to the public including educational programs for all ages.

 

We offer many ways to Volunteer.

Our Stewards, who are responsible for the care and upkeep of the park

Our Docents, who lead our education efforts

and Our Ambassadors, who are available to welcome visitors and provide information.

Additionally we are always looking for Volunteers to help with PR, Event Planning and many other behind-the-scenes needs.

The Thomas Vielbig and Thomas Scerbo Environmental Education Building is also available for event rentals.
