The Department of Taxation operates under the direction of the Division of Revenue and Finance of the Borough of Glen Rock and various State and County authorities.

Senior Citizen / Disabled Persons Annual Property Tax Deduction: Annual deduction of $250 from property taxes levied on a home owned by a Senior Citizen age 65 or older; person permanently and totally disabled; and surviving spouses age 55 or older of an already receiving senior citizen; all of whom must meet the annual income requirement of $10,000 or less (excluding Social Security/ Disability benefits).  Applications are available in the Borough of Glen Rock Tax Office.

Veterans Annual Deduction: Annual deduction of $250 for Veterans who qualify.  Applications are available in the Borough of Glen Rock Tax Office.

Payment Options

  • USE THE BOROUGH DROP BOX located in front of the Municipal Building. This box is emptied frequently.  NO CASH - CHECK OR MONEY ORDER ONLY.

  • MAIL PAYMENT to Borough Hall (1 Harding Plaza, Glen Rock, NJ 07452).  CHECK OR MONEY ORDER ONLY.

  • Pay Online - please visit https://tax.munidex.info/glenrock-nj-0222/.  Residents may email Munidex (click here) if they are experiencing on line payment issues.

  • In person - The tax office will be able to accept in person payments between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm, Monday thru Friday.

The Assessor of Glen Rock is an officer independent of the Mayor and Council and is responsible to the Bergen County Board of Taxation. The principal responsibility of the Assessor is to fix, for tax purposes, the fair market value of all real property within the Borough and all added improvements as decided under the state statutes.

The Assessor holds office hours on Tuesdays. Appointments are recommended to ensure a proper and satisfactory period of time to answer your concerns. Please call the office to schedule an appointment.
