The Assessor of Glen Rock is an officer independent of the Mayor and Council and is responsible to the Bergen County Board of Taxation. The principal responsibility of the Assessor is to fix, for tax purposes, the fair market value of all real property within the Borough and all added improvements as decided under the state statutes.

The Assessor holds office hours on Tuesdays. Appointments are recommended to ensure a proper and satisfactory period of time to answer your concerns. Please call the office to schedule an appointment.

The Office of the Tax Collector bills over 4,000 tax payers and collects taxes quarterly. A ten day grace period is provided by resolution of the Mayor and Council, after which, interest is charged from the first day of the month in which the payments are due. 

Taxpayers are asked to utilize one of the following options to pay their tax bill:

• USE THE BOROUGH DROP BOX located in front of the Municipal Building. This box is emptied frequently.  NO CASH - CHECK OR MONEY ORDER ONLY.
• MAIL PAYMENT to Borough Hall (1 Harding Plaza, Glen Rock, NJ 07452).  CHECK OR MONEY ORDER ONLY.
• Pay Online - please visit https://tax.munidex.info/glenrock-nj-0222/.  Residents may contact payments@munidex.info if they are experiencing on line payment issues.
• In person - The tax office will be able to accept in person payments between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm, Monday thru Friday.

Taxpayers are urged to read carefully all the information contained on their tax bills, both front and back. To help prevent delays to other taxpayers when paying taxes in person, please bring your tax bill and, if possible, have your check written out in advance.  If you are mailing the check for your taxes, please be certain that you are paying the amount for the correct quarter. If your check has to be sent back, it may result in interest charges. 

If a receipt is required, please send your entire bill with a self-addressed, stamped envelope. If no receipt is needed, just send in the proper stub and check.
