Glen Rock Green Business Certification Program

• Description: Glen Rock’s Green Businesses Certification program recognizes retail businesses that incorporate sustainable practices. By helping green our town, your business can receive green certification, and will be included on the GR certified Green Business list. Residents and customers will thereby be made aware of the actions that your business has taken to promote both healthy living and a healthier planet.
• The program allows retail businesses to earn points for environmentally-friendly practices in two areas:
  • Single-use plastic reduction
  • Energy efficiency
• Three levels of certifications are achievable:
  • Bronze (15 points)
  • Silver (30 points)
  • Gold (50 points or over)
• Application: Businesses need to apply here: https://bit.ly/GRGBCPApp or via the downloadable application below.  If approved they will be recognized at a public Council meeting, and listed on the borough website Green Business registry. In addition, they will be provided with an award sticker that can be displayed on the business door/window
• The certification is valid for 3 years
