Message from the Mayor

Dear Residents and Friends:

Welcome to 2026—a year guided by the values of teamwork, listening, and communication.

Effective local government works best when we respect differing viewpoints, ask hard questions, and stay focused on what is in the best interest of the Borough as a whole. Listening—on the dais and throughout our community—is essential. I welcome questions and disagreement, but respectful dialogue and a willingness to hear one another are what build trust and move us forward.

This year also marks a historic milestone: the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Throughout 2026, Glen Rock will celebrate this occasion with events and programs that honor our nation’s history and the community spirit that defines our Borough.

Your local government remains focused on serving today’s needs while planning responsibly for the future. We will continue to invest in infrastructure, prioritize public safety, advance sustainability initiatives, and support a high quality of life for residents of all ages.

As Mayor, I take this responsibility seriously and strive every day to govern fairly, thoughtfully, and with care for all residents. I look forward to celebrating this historic year together as we move Ever Forward.

Kristine Morieko
Mayor, Borough of Glen Rock
